Recommend me something to clean my case.

So the sides of my case are brushed aluminum. I want to clean them, but I have no idea what to use. I tried searching on google but not much luck. I don't know if what you use on regular aluminum can be used on brushed aluminum. Then most of the stuff I found was high polish for car parts, and that's not exactly what I want.

The case I have is a Coolermaster stacker, silver version.

Any suggestions?

I don't know, it's just dirty from being used for a couple years. I used a damp cloth but it just made it kind of streaky.

if you want it to shine, use some windex, its good on alot of surfaces like that...

if you want it really clean, use wallop, hard to find, but sooo worth it...

huh, you think? I didn't even consider that. I use it to clean cpu's but never thought to use it for the case.

I don't want it to shine, it never shined. Is windex the right thing to use on aluminum?

I don't want it to shine, it never shined. Is windex the right thing to use on aluminum?

evaporates quickly so no oxidation should occur, but my case is painted and i don't need to take care of it

It will work just as well, and you know won't leave any marks. It will dry quick and can be pretty effective.

Thanks for the tips. I used windex because it was right there and it's easier to use windex to clean a big ass panel. I'll use some rubbing alcohol over it later as a little top layer/additional cleaning.

It's not perfect but it's definitely cleaner.

The windex worked fine, but I wouldn't say perfect. However, the case is much, much cleaner. It did get mildy streaky, but I was able to get rid of that with a dry wipe. I used a microfiber cloth. Don't know if that'll make a difference, but it's what I used and it worked nicely. No little cloth klingons got left behind in the grooves of the aluminum.
