The 3Dmark06 score doesn't impress me at all.
Disappointing.
What's your current score, and with what CPU?PBAsydney wrote:
Wow, my 8800GTX would outdo that 3dmark06 score if I had a better CPU.
Mmmm, not suprising, think everyone is expecting that huge jump we saw in 7>8 again, which simply is not the case. I dunno what is going on at nvidia, am not sure what there stratagey with this is, but, it certainly isnt enough to tempt the majority of (in the know) 8800 owners (particularly the GTX/Ultra) guys. So, I find myself wondering, wtf are they doing. Perhaps the complaicency (SP) of beating ATI for so long settled in? Whatever the reason, nvidia aint impressing at the moment as far as am concerned.Scratch[USA] wrote:

Well personally, I expect a new generation of hardware to be substantially better than the previous generation. Otherwise, in my opinion, it is quite a waste.Bell wrote:

Click on the link at the bottom of the article, the 06 score is over 14,000.Reciprocity wrote:
THAT'S A 3DMARK03 SCORE
big fucking deal.
the high score right now for 06 is around 30k, that's with a purpose built system, a quad core clocked at ~6ghz.
No, it just means that store will still sell 8800s at their current prices until they're out of stock, then order 9 series cards to replace them.will this mean the 8 series will be cheaper?
I'll do the same thing. I am more than happy with my 8800GTS 320.some_random_panda wrote:
Meh, I'll wait until the 10 series. I've waited for a while, so another year and a bit won't hurt.
