We usually read about the raids Israel makes over Palestine, the IDF violating Human Rights, the mess they did in Lebanon, and occasionally about some rockets being thrown into Israel from Palestine.

We watch TV shows where they show you how bad the Palestinians live and how well the Israelis are doing today.

How much of this is true?  Do we really get the whole information?  Is the reality being modified to fit the agenda of some news services?
Feel free to give examples of bias in this conflict.  Post sources with bias against Israel.  Don't say the BBC is biased without proof, post real articles where there is a bias.

I'd say there is definately some bias, but I think the reason is that shocking and sad stories sell.

This works both ways ... it really depends what news sells the best at any given time.

Or how about who is actually creating news worthy stories that need reporting

True ... when there is nothing to report about they tend to make something up ... like the hunger disaster in Niger 2005.

Not really a "right option" for me, so I chose the first one.

I would have to say that there is an anti-Israel bias, at least in the US media. We hardly ever hear about the Palestinian rocket/mortar attacks in the media, but every time there is an IDF action (airstrike, ground op, etc), it makes the news, along with the body count...with emphasis on civilian deaths/injuries. If one did not look further into the events with other information sources, one might be led to believe that the Palestinians are simple flower-growing people who don't have a violent bone in their collective body.

Of course, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but roughly frames the coverage I've seen in the US.

Serge they have admitted their bias, which isn't entirely horrible. At least they had the courage to do so.

I read that and knew about it.  I wanted people not to say it just coz it's the BBC.  And by doing that the BBC showed they are a credible source.  They admit their mistakes.

It's more than most (good on them). But still.. I cringe at the thought of a media source investing money into suppressing reports.

Really?

European coverage seems relatively balanced, though to be honest there aren't that many terror attacks (resulting in casualties) against Israel - there has just been the first terror attack in Jerusalem for three years, to give you an example. Although the Israelis are often portrayed as though they should know better and shouldn't be stooping to the level of the terrorists found in many of their neighbouring Arab states.

I'd say there's more anti-Palestinian bias than anti-Israeli.  This seminary attack is an example.

And how much did you hear of, During the Isreali-Hammas conflict a while ago, that the UN was passing real-time intel to Hammas of the targets Isreal were attacking?
...or stuff like this: http://www.aish.com/jewishissues/mediao … loyees.asp (The UN having Hammas members on its payroll)
http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/020164.php
"March 3, 2008
Israeli military: "Hamas terror operatives shooting at us took up positions inside civilian homes while the civilians were still inside"
"The aim is to draw us into killing civilians to bring about international pressure to end our operation."

http://www.israelitimes.com/?p=18 (okay, this may very well be propaganda, but could actually be true.)
"
A United Nations agency transferred thousands of dollars to a Palestinian Arab charity affiliated with terrorism long after Israel
warned of the terror connection, though the U.N. publicly claimed payments to the organization had stopped."

I'd actually argue most news services are sympathetic to the Israeli stance and think of Palestine as the bad guys...
