I was supposed to go to the gym today to meet with my trainer at 4:30. It's 4PM now. I can't get there.

Why not the Metro?
The buses are incredibly shitty with their schedules and I would not make it there in time. If I took the train, I'd have to walk a mile to the gym.

Why not my parents?
My dad's at work in downtown DC, and the weather is shitty right now so he couldn't get to my mother's house and back to downtown in 30 minutes. My mom had surgery today and she's gotta rest... doc's orders.

Why not a taxi?
I called them just now and they said they weren't sending any drivers until the weather cleared up.

Why not walk/bike?
Wouldn't get there in time.

So yeah. It'd be REAL fuckin convenient right now to have a license and a car -_-... or at the very least, to not live in the suburbs, a mile and a half away from the closest Metro station.

By the sounds of it it's dangerous to drive as experienced drivers like Taxi Drivers are being told "No Fares" due to safety reasons so look at it as fate!!

You can still do some form of exercise if you stay in regarding of what equipment you have, just get your heart beating fast for 30 mins. press up's, sit up's, squats etc

I was "eligible" to get my permit last June. My mom was very reluctant to take me to the MVA (DMV) since it's a fair bit out. So I couldn't get the driver's manuals to study up for the driving laws test until the middle of the summer.

It was near the start of school when I decided to take the test. My dad and I were going out to the MVA when suddenly he got a phone call from a co-worker. NEVERMIND THE FACT THAT SOMETHING LIKE THAT SHOULD BE ON YOUR FUCKING PASSPORT... long story short, my dad had to file for that letter and it didn't come till the middle of the school year, and now it's expired so he has to get a new letter.

Fuck you, whoever decided something that fucking trivial (ALL it would take would be a "DIPLOMAT" with a check mark under it if I was a diplomat) shouldn't be on a passport.

@Cable, no I really don't. Walking to the train stop, taking the train, then walking to the gym would get me there pretty darned late. I had a training session set up, hence the urgency.
