This keeps happening in sooner and sooner intervals
and now its happening about 30 seconds into startup
it just goes
nooooooewwwoooww like its turning off real quick

and my computer sounds off, but the power light is still on!

what happening?!!??

its been on all day d/ling something i hope it is just overheating but it doesnt feel that hot

I agree with Roger. Also you could try hitting the key that takes you to the Bios setup routine. If you get into the bios setup routine and it still shuts down, you can be pretty sure you have an overheating problem. If it stays up, then you have a different problem. To use F8 keep tapping it every second or two while the system is booting up.

I had the same problem.  You need to remove the dusk from your cpu cooling fan, after that it your computer shouldn't be turning off by itself.
