I bet they don't repair their own products and send them to a repair plant like I work at, no it wasn't me.
Where I work we repair all kinds of lap tops, desk tops and monitors. There are certain engineering approved check lists, that repair techs must follow in order to pass the QA process.

It is supposed to be case. When I read the title a week ago I though Microsoft was going to stop producing the 360.

I agree, but if they never even get the part, and dont forward the info needed. Its a flaw in the system that makes custom repairs out of the question.
At my plant we would get between 900 and 1500 lap tops, they get scanned in the system, tested and separated for failures, repairs, burned in for 2 hours, tested, QA'd then packed and shipped. There is a very small customer service presence. There is a very short time to repair each as well.
When I worked on the Lexmark printers we would get a few notes from the customers but they was on an advanced exchange so they was getting shipped a printer from stock while we repaired and put the old printer in stock as refurbished.

i bet if he just sent in the 360 without a letter or saying anything, he would of got it back with the signatures on it
