Ok, so Vista just died on me, but I had it on a different partition, so all my data and games are still installed and fine, only problem now is that none of them have their registries. Is there a site or something where I can see how the registry for each game is set up? That way I can manually build up registries for all my games again.

Damn, well, at least I have all the newest patches on my HDD still so it should only take a few minutes.
u shouldn't lose anything by reinstalling the games. as long as your data is on a separate partition, reinstallation is the only thing you can do. in the future, you can make "system state" backups which grab the registry, your system files, and the com+ data (dll registers). If you ever have a failure, you can reinstall the OS and apps, and then restore the system state data which returns your system back to the way it was before the failure. its basically the way to back up a server in case there is any kind of hardware failure that puts it out of commission. its also known as a 'bare metal restore.' definitely worth doing if you dont want the pain in the ass of restoring everything back its original state by hand.
