Well, Friday, I gave a nice long PowerPoint presentation on two famous Greek People: Nicias and Euripides. It went well, except for one minor detail...
I was discussing some of Euripides plays, and brought up the slide about the play, "The Bacchae."
Unfortunately, I failed to notice that, for whatever reason, my all-knowing spell check changed "The Bacchae" to "The Backhoe."
Upon bringing up the slide, hilarity ensued. Well, hilarity for the class, humiliation for me. Had to explain the real named, but the audience never was the same after this little mishap.
Damn it, spell check.
