I am trying to burn a movie that I downloaded from Utorrent and every time I click on burn it says there is no disc when there is a disc and its blank.

I have the proper dvd burner and DVD-R discs. Any help. I dont know if you need any more information, if you do then tell me what you need to know. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You could try a different burning program. I had the same problem with my computer, my dvd drive wouldn't burn dvds, only cds. I gave up on finding a solution though.

Sounds like it could be a perfect solution for an ASPI driver.  If there is a problem with the native microsoft drivers through registry corruption (have you run CCleaner or other registry tools lately?) then you can try a free ASPI driver called ForceASPI.  You can download it here:

http://radified.com/ASPI/forceaspi.htm

ASPI is a hardware interface layer designed by Adaptec (the mother of all fast drive controllers) and offers the most compatibility with hardware.  Pretty much every burning package out there supports ASPI so give it a go.  Simple to remove if you find it doesn't work for you so there is no real downside to trying it.

Good Luck.
