Question about sniper rilfes

ok here the thing

if you discharged a sniper rifle while scoped it would normally hit where you aim it
but if you discharged it unscoped
it magically goes off-target

why is this?

The stock of the rifle when scoped is usually mounted on your shoulder, where when it's unscoped, it's near your hip and hence has HUGE kickback.

throw it into a benchrest....look through the scope (scoped), now stop (unscoped, which im pretty sure is a game term), and shoot....your bullet will hit where you were looking when you were "scoped".

It doesn't magically go off target. I'm sure if you set up a rifle, aimed it at a target. Then just moved your eye from the scope and then made sure you didn't move the rifle from it previous position and then fired the rifle, it would hit where you aimed.

long range rifles are precision instruments.....

an eighth of a millimeter will throw the bullet off by feet if you are far enough away.

Yep. Doesn't seem like he experienced this issue because if he did have a scoped rifle, had it benchrested and fired it, then removed the scope without messing up the rifle position, and then shot, he'd still be on target.

Sounds like he needs the unscoped sniper rifle hack for BF2! lol
