Was stuffing around organizing all my personal files last night (photos, music etc.) and during this I somehow have seemed to have moved the My Documents folder, so while I can still access it from the desktop, I cant get to it from the start menu, which kind of annoys me...any help?

right-click on the desktop "my docs" folder and click properties... one of the tabs at the top will show you the location of the folder.

i think its on the "general" tab.

Also, you can use the search function on your computer to find the folder, and then at the top it will show the location of the my documents folder, you can then go up one, find it, and move it back to where you want it to be.

It does tell me where it is, the problem is that I cant do anything to the button on the start menu...if I right click that and go to properties, verything is just blank, and I cant edit anything about it...

Is there anything I could do in the system files or anything like that?

is the icon on your start menu just a shortcut?  you can add anything to the start menu.  just replace it with the current location of your mydocs.

I cant do that either.  Im running Vista by the way, and on the right hand side is all the pre-set shortcuts that you can only turn on or off from the control panel, you can't add to that side.  I think what i need to do is change that shortcut to direct to where the My Documents is now, but I cant do it through the properties option, as everything is just blank and can't be changed.
