I managed to do an RSS feed into my conduit toolbar for my forums, but how would one go about putting the top 5 recent subjects on the homepage, as BF2s does?

Does anyone have an idea?

I use phpBB 2.0 (i'm pretty sure)

Theoretically, just add:

Code:

<link rel="alternate" title="Laser One - New Jersey 's Leading Laser Tag latest topics RSS feed" href="forums/rss.php" type="application/rss+xml">
note the href.

Edit, doi you want a feed on the page. Dunno. Sure there's a mod though.

You don't need RSS, just use PHP to get data from your MySQL table.

well i already have the RSS.  Wouldn't it be easier to do that?  And does it automatically choke it off at a pre-defined number (for example, last 5 posts)?
