Try to get used to one rifle only! And master that weapon (like L-85, G3, PKM or M16), flank those cornholios and you'll be okay...
thats no fun, you wanna be good at all kits, keeps the game interestingSandriatinhi wrote:

Duh of course that will come in a later stage. But at first, if he wants to improve in IO, he needs a good gun. So many times i'm only using my rifle and you see all of those morons standing behind a crate continously throwing nades. I just run straight to them and shoot them in the face. Its not just aim and click! Use your fokking head!Tehremos wrote:

Squad up with a medic. Medics keep your K to D ratio normal.
You have to squad up!
If you look at real life soldiers, they walk, not in the middle of the road, but alongside buildings in order to keep at least half of their body covered. It helps in BF2 also.
Don't jump into the nade pits, flank em.
Be a SL. Your meds will heal you...or at least they should.

Looking at your stats, you are doing average. Get out of the chopper & hoof it soldier!Ec0li wrote:
Topic says it all really, so i was wondering does anyone have any tips or advice on how not to suck? I seem to sacrifice my SPM so i can raise my kd ratio but I do enjoy I/O sometimes, I'm just no good at it, generally I finish a round with my kills being equal to my deaths, sometimes I'll have a good day and own but it's not consistent. So does anyone have any useful tips for it? I know it's not easy to give advice on I/O as opposed to vehicles but any advice is welcomed. Thanks
I love being in the air though, plus it's a good way to get hours up for kits i don't enjoy or that are shit on foot, cos everyone needs 100 hours on every kit, we all know stats are life and everyone want sharpshooter medal .Korny09 wrote:

But from all the great advice, here's the result....
It's not consistently like that though, but I'm gettin' there. Im gonna do alot of assault and support now on IO as i got expert medic, but the reason why medic is so popular, not only the rezzing points, but you can heal yourself. I'm not too bothered about assault, but god damn, SUPPORT, what a shit kit...prone shoot, prone shoot, prone shoot.....
What servers/s do you play on? I ask because I never want to play on them and get owned by you...Yaocelotl wrote:
By your stats, your problem is that you suck with any type of weapon, but you kinda excel with explosives and grenades.
I agree with bunny, the SF IO players that I play with tend to be much better than I find on your average Karkand IO server. It seems everytime I go to Vanilla IO, all I see is nade and claywhores running hodge podge with no sign of teamwork or skill in sight. Just support hoping their nades land by someone, snipers praying someone happens to come by their clays, and medics wishing everyone around them would run into both nades and clays so they can have a revive orgy...BigBunny wrote:
I would disagree. I find I am much worse at SF - I think the players there tend to be better.argo4 wrote:
ecoli, do you have special forces? Ghost town and warlord are great maps, and you should try them in i/o. Since sf is not as popular as vanilla there are fewer really great players, so it might be easier
it's the opposite for me. all i get killed by in sf io is claymores.Nicholas Langdon wrote:

Try the =DoM= server when admins are on then, if you get a good ping on it. They do what they can to limit claywhoring, camping, useless snipers and useless commanders. They have a rule of no more than 3 snipers per team, and snipers should be trying to get flags, not camping somewhere, getting 3 or less kills a round. It promotes good team play there.ig wrote:

You're either born good or not lol jkz It took me time. I realized there couldn't be a worst pilot then me, so I stayed playing I/O. You get used to it after like a good 200 hours lol. Some become amazing some don't. It's hard, but I wouldn't recommend it, plus you'll think everyone hacks. A lot of people accuse me of it and think I do. But you know if you don't believe come at my house and watch me play, if you're that concerned. Many will probably reply to me saying ''I'll report you'' it's all I get. Stick with the regular servers they're more fun even if you get less points and spend more time. But I think if I was good at flying I'd never quit lol. But yeah, Medic squad and most of what they said ^.

A nice easy server to own on: =E= Boobies and Beer. But only when all the PCm! fags aren't on.
I had a ping of over 100, shitty hitreg, but yet still had 3 amazing rounds. 51 - 8, 49 - 5 and 38 - 2.
