Why do people, by the millions, manage to spell the word "retarded" as "retarted"? Is it not ironic in and of itself to spell it in such a grotesque manner? If you're going to insult somebody's intelligence, don't fucking butcher your spelling.

You can't even blame it on phonetics. In "fancy" pronunciation... REE-TAR-DEAD. In "lazy" pronunciation... REE-TAR-DID. In idiot (aka nonexistent because it isn't pronounced this way)... REE-TAR-TED.

Anyone who uses "retarted" should be institutionalized.
