Proning does, and differences in accuracy/recoil control through the 3 stances (Standing, Crouching, Proning) have always been noticeable through all of the Call of Duty games.Aries_37 wrote:

proning doesn't make you more accurate, neither does standing still while shooting, but ironsights does.
Wrong. It reduces recoil, is does not add accuracy to your weapons. Recoil reduces accuracy.Uzique wrote:

Yes there's a difference, in BF2 when you prone the crosshair spread decreases considerably, in CoD4 you can get exactly the same accuracy strafing like a madman as you do when prone...assuming you can control the teeny amount of recoil with your mouse. Same reason noone fires in bursts in cod4- you really don't need to.Uzique wrote:

If you lie down, your accuracy increases. It may not increase directly because of your stance, but the recoil/accuracy changes result in your shooting being far more accurate and reliable. So what's worth arguing over? I was merely defending somebody for prone'ing a lot to shoot enemies-- because it does have a noticeable improvement and effect.
Agree.N1nj4.$haoRaa wrote:
