The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Very few programs work with it, the rest says itself.mcminty wrote:

It's shite the entire thing.
I've had some problems with Vista it self, nothing major though.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

none of them was Vista's fault
I have had a great experience with vista, I also love the improved workings of drag and drop

That's more like when you're in an awesome mood (vista) and you get hit by a bus carrying samples of AIDS (OSX).

At least as riddled with bugs as Vista, probably far more so. Simplistic hardware setups on Macs make driver issues virtually non-existent - but the stupid permissions scheme......
The problems with spotlight indexing can be a pain too.
Also I was working some stuff out the other day, for the price of a base spec Mac Pro, I could get a Yorkfield based PC with 8GB RAM, 1.5TB storage with a 16GB Ramdisk for the OS, 8800GTS with all the trimmings (each system with display 24" for the PC, 23" for the Mac). Hmmmmm....... Which one is the better deal?
