Okay, cars in my country aint cheap, Singapore btw.

A Toyota VIOS in here could cost as much as a souped up sports car or a continental car. Just wondering, are cars dirt cheap in the country you're living in?

A new Toyota Yaris (just for example) would cost you €11.640 (the lowest model)

used cars... anywhere from 1500 euros (still a bit good, reasonable km meter etc) till whatever number you wanna fill in.

Depends how good at buying used cars you are.

I am fucking superb at it.

The last 2 cars I've bought were; a Laguna with 23 miles on the clock for £6000 and an Alfa 156 (V-reg, 38K, full Alfa service history, 1 owner, perfect condition (apart from dodgy tyres, broken wingmirror glass and an ashtray that won't close)) £1500.

What screws the Europeans over is the massive taxes your governments rape you with. Better off buying a car in the US and ship it over to your country. Volvo xc90 36-50k here in the US.

If u import a car, you still have to pay all the taxes.  There are 2 ways around: buy a car thats more that 30 years old, or move to a foreign country for at least 4 years, and you can import 1 can tax-free.

They aren't cheap. My parenst bought a Chevrolet Matiz a fews year ago (Then still named Daewoo, or whatever) the little thing costed €10.000, so about $15.000 . Go figure what a 'real' car costs then.

3 serie BMW's start at around €30.000 euro's. Which is rougly $45.000

AAND! If that isnt enough allready, the petrol prices costs as much the car itself. With prices of around €1.50 (Ammirite Dutchies, don't know the prices by heart as I don't actually own a car ) a litre. €6.00 a gallon, which is $9.00 a gallon. It fuckin absurd, while I am pretty fucking sure that the gas that we use is exactly the same as the Americans use, fucking taxes.

AAAAAAND On top of that we have to pay a specified amount of money each 3 months or something for road maintenance. So even if you don't use the friggin car you still have to pay it. Which is on the contrary to most country's which charge 'toll'? Or anyway, only charge money if you actually USE THE ROAD ffs. Ya driving cars in the Netherlands is not cool.

Its even less cool in Norway though. Lucky bastard US queers, let me never hear YOU complain about car/gas prices EVAAR! Else....

... nothing will happen.

1 liter gas: $ 2.45.
1 gallon gas: $9.26.

Thats gives you second thoughts about that V8 engine

Edit:
The cheapest 2008 BMW 316 in all of Norway is $ 58,992.  It has 5000 km on it.  (2800miles)

Edit2:
Owning a car costs you $550 + insurance, regardless of use, every year.

Edit3:
Running a red light, illegal passing, not yielding: $1,021.  21 km/h (11mph) over the speed limit: $ 1,273

Beat this:
Hell! Even owning a television costs you $370 / year in a TV-licence, funding our <irony>great</irony> national broadcasting station.
If you buy a telly, you are registrerd. They go from door to door to have inspections to see wether or not you are paying your television fee.  Is they catch you unregisterd with a telly, they can fine you up to $1850 ( 5 years of licencing cost)
