Right. My mate from nextdoor is in search for a new monitor, and needs some reccomendations. He has a budget of around £200, and wants the best 19"+ monitor he can get.

I need links aswell! +1 to helpful suggestions.

Just look around that site, the best brands are Samsung and Dell. Infact I'm using an "old" Dell LCD from 2001 and it's still going nicely.

I chose that Samsung than more expensive options as it has a nice contrast ratio etc.. I'd recommend that, unless he really wants 19" then get this:

DABS.com? theirs are cheap, dunno about quality but you could probably get a decent size for that price

I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.

He said around 200, I'm sure he could find an extra 11 to get the best monitor possible. (I have no idea how to make that euro sign so I didn't use it...)

I suggest at least 20". The 20" has a nicer screen ratio. Its not so "square" looking, a bit wider than the 19".
