Does anyone here do it? I've been training for a while now and my first fight is going to be in 2 months. I'm getting kinda nervous and I hope I don't just get my ass handed to me! Oh it will be fun. Hopefully my training will pay off for me For those of you that don't know what it is, just turn on your TV and watch Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Do you wear Tap Out clothing to the bars?  If you do, I make fun of people like you.

Good luck.  I love watching MMA.  Fedor is my favorite.

No I don't have any of that stuff. Pretty much all of those people are just posers anyways.

I used to do Taekwondo. Got my second degree black belt in it, too. I was in great shape and not too bad at it... but then college came around and I've been way too busy to do anything
Now I'm fat, out-of-shape, and lost all my flexibility

I would like to get back into it as soon as I finish school, and maybe learn some other martial arts, too (that's the "mixed" for you). I did take a class in something that I completely forget the name of, but it was almost like Tai Chi. Kinda slow, and had some rolling to it. Also, my TKD teacher was cool and taught us some Judo as well (just a tiny bit).

i've always wanted to.  i'm trying to convince a buddy of mine to do it with me this summer (they have super amateur MMA matches semi-locally).  they have refs, medical staff, equipment, chav-like kids i can beat the sh*t out of, intro music, etc.  it's kind of a big deal.  you should post your video on here when you're done winning.
remember, "Never go into a fight thinking what the other guy can do to you; only think about what you're going to do to him."

I wrestled for 6 years and it definitely helps a ton. it really makes my ground game superior. i can easily hold someone down. i know ho to shift weight and use leverage and leg ride the hell out of people making them do all the work for me. and it makes learning the jiu jitsu much easier.
but in wrestling you try so hard to stay off of your back. in mma you never ever give your opponent your back.

Don't forget the sticker on the truck.

I wrestled for my high school and a Greco-Roman club, but I stopped after I started doing drugs
