I probably misinterpreted it. I think he was using them as arrows, but I'm doing engineering homework so I'm in the zone and interpreted them as greater than symbols.
Ex: "Not awesome" means you have more than 150 PMs.
"I Wish I was Awesome" means you have more than 400.
