Whats up,

I recently updated battlefield 2. I'm experiencing some major problems here. Now the game is way slower than my internet connection the symptoms are this.

Lag when walking, driving, turning, ect.

Getting killed at not hearing any sounds (bullets explosions ect)

Soldiers, vehicles, planes jumping from place to place.

Stuttering sounds and movements.

Thats the general idea, and I'm convinced that this is not a connection problem mainly due to symptom number 2. It gets worse in SF, its completley unplayable. I have my visual settings to all HIGH and resolouting to as high as my moniter will support. This never happened in previous versions and I'm wondering if anyone else is having similar problems, or if you have a soulution. Here are my system specs. Thanks in advance.

ASUS P4P 800 Deluxe MOBO
ATI All in Wonder X800XT
2 GIGS kingston PC3200
Intel 865PE chipset (2.8 ghz)
Raptor 10,000 rpm 36 gig system drive, D is a standard 80 gig 7200
Dell moniter (catalyst control says it supports 75 htz but in reality it only works @ 60)

Why did you feel the need to post this twice? One thread should suffice.

Sorry man; just noticed that there is more viewers on the standard BF forum. Delete one if it tickles your fancy

Do you want to play or just admire you screen? If you like admiring it, take a screenie and putit on your desktop. Then put your graphics downa nd get incredibly fluid gameplay. I play on everyhting low with 100% view distance - no framerate lag and perfect for sniping.

LOL Its cool I loves smart asses...seriously though, it worked fine before with things on high. I guess you could say that admiring the screen is part of being a PC player. I played the PS2 demo for BF2 and it was quite laughable both in gameplay and graphics. It kinda makes me sic to know that I have about  $3000 into my computer system and i can't play to admire the screen. To make matters worse is the fact that it worked fine before the patch. Its the american way.

Anyways; it will get turned down if it has to. One more question though, for ATI users. Do you find its better to adjust settings in the game or use catalyst control center?  I';ve left everything that the system has read on standard or "let the application decided."

The main reasons that they aren't lower is the fact that I hate seeing blocky shadows (just learned that ATI has acknowledged a problem) and lines that get all blocky and choppy.

Anywho just seeing if there was any possible soloution.

Yeah, it runs fine on medium, but it takes much longer to load each round, and coupled with a laggy server it can be really annoying when the fps drops.

just drop ur resolution to 1024x768 IN the desktop and IN the game.
I promise u have no lag at all after that.
