lol sucks to be in Europe an America
Bit hard since all your cars are fancy, then they crap it down for out market.
That said, our European-origin Fords start at:
Fiesta: AU$15,990 = €9.636
Focus: AU$19,990 = €12.046
Mondeo: AU$29,990 = €18.073
Looks like we do pretty well compared to yous guys, even if everything is optional.

My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.
dunno exactly the price of cars (depends which car it is anyway) but they're a way more expensive in europe than in US. Also Driver licence (and everything needed to get it) cost in France, about $3,000 and in switzerland... about the same price and they're a way harder to get here than in US. Sucks to be european when it's about cars in general.
Way more expensive than anyone who will post here. Challenge me if you want. Do it, I dare you!
ok i challenge you
He already found prices for me... gomillmax wrote:

Wow that Yaris is expensive in Europe. Its 11,640 dollars in America, half the price.^*AlphA*^ wrote:
A new Toyota Yaris (just for example) would cost you €11.640 (the lowest model)
used cars... anywhere from 1500 euros (still a bit good, reasonable km meter etc) till whatever number you wanna fill in.

Last time I compared prices, an '07 Yaris in the US was $13k, while an '06 Yaris of the same configuration was $44k in Denmark. You get raped in the ass for anything here.avman633 wrote:

You guys pay so much for a car that isn't even that good. For $44,000 you could buy a mid to high end car like a Lexus, BMW, or a low end Mercedesmikkel wrote:

Hell! Even owning a television costs you $370 / year in a TV-licence, funding our <irony>great</irony> national broadcasting station.
If you buy a telly, you are registrerd. They go from door to door to have inspections to see wether or not you are paying your television fee. Is they catch you unregisterd with a telly, they can fine you up to $1850 ( 5 years of licencing cost)

Try this - $410 a year to fund government-run public service channels. You have to pay even if you don't watch the channels. No option to opt out. At first this was just television, but after they started making footage available online, this license expanded to all cell phones and all internet connections with downstream bandwidth at or above 192kbps.SEREMAKER wrote:

Basically, they decided to move onto the Internet, and make EVERYONE WITH AN INTERNET CONNECTION pay for it, because with an Internet connection, you MAY end up at the site. It's absurd. Next they'll start broadcasting from loudspeakers and demand licensing fees because you MIGHT stroll past one of these and listen to their programming.
As if that wasn't pathetic enough, all out data media, from casette tapes to CDs, DVDs and even USB memory sticks and soon hard drives as well have considerable tax added, paid directly to a PRIVATE organisation run by a media organisation, justified by the absurd claim that because these COULD be used to store pirated media, artists should be compensated, directly out of your pocket, whenever you buy media. On top of this, piracy is STILL illegal.
That means that not only are you paying a piracy tax and treated like a criminal for buying a CD, but you'll STILL be fined and possibly arrested for piracy.
It's absolutely stupid. I cannot stand this socialistic cesspool full of incompentent idiots. Thank god I'm moving to the US.
Woah, rant. Sorry.
