What kind of maps do you like most/would you like to be (more) in BF2?

all 1942 style. so huge maps in all kinds of areas. so winter, forest, and desert we have enough urban maps. I think I will love the maps in the booster packs
I like the big maps, because that's what makes the BF series unique. If I wanted indoor CQC, I would go play Counter Strike. The problem with the big maps though; without sufficient transportation it turns into very boring gameplay. The city maps are great because there's some open space for armor to roll in, and intricate cover around flags for infantry. It's a good mix of those elements that makes a map work. I tend to like maps with no jets as well.. As for the poll, I picked winter maps. Doesn't have anything to do with gameplay, but I just have fond memories of Battle of the Bulge from '42. Good times. I mean, BF Modern combat already got an arctic tileset. Porting that over to BF2 in a booster shouldn't be hard at all.

if anyone has played the secret weapons demo then he knows the map called hellendoorn.

I would like to see a map set in a Chinese city, like Bejing or something of that nature. Maybe have some rain or some kind of effect, but nothing that ruins visibility too much. I prefer a map that allows for infantry getting to CP's on foot but that is at least somewhat condusive to Vehicles. Sharqi Penninsula is a good one. I'd like to see more maps like that and less Songhua and Kubra.

The best bet would be the Midnight Sun map in Armored Fury, because its set in Alaska. I hope there is some snow in that one, it would really make a good setting.--->[Your]Phobia<--- wrote:

Yea i agreee that just a infantry combat map would be good but if the maps are huge we should have jeeps and boats nothing else to get around, 4get not havin any vehicles. fightin on foot i think is more fun that any other way adn its much more equal. also wouldn't it be cool if we could have sea battles like on that mod for the first battlefield 1942? where ppl could control battle ships, air craft carriers?! spec ops could sneak on2 the ships and C4 certain parts 2 make them sink? that would be ace

A winter forest map, I'd like to see a map based on a place like Bastogne (OMG reference to Band of Brothers)
I agree with usmarine2005, just want infantry maps with only jeeps avaible.

i would love to see an infantry only map, with jeeps to get about. This is simply because i'm no realuse in armour or flying thingies and get a bit frustrated at being raped by them. I'm not moaning at 'armour whores' or 'jet whores' blah blah, i'm admitting that i'm shit at them and would just like to have infantry to worry about 'cos then i can hold my own.
more chinese maps like fushee or dragon valley.
