Below are the requirements. Read below the reqs and youll see why its even more impossible.

RANK_18 - Brigadier General
180,000 Global Score
All Expert Vehicle Badges (Expert Armor Badge, Expert Transport Badge, Expert Helicopter Badge, Expert Aviator Badge, Expert Air Defense Badge, Expert Ground Defense Badge)

RANK_19 - Major General
180,000 Global Score
All Expert Combat Badges (Expert Knife Combat Badge, Expert Pistol Combat Badge, Expert Assault Combat Badge, Expert Anti-tank Combat Badge, Expert Sniper Combat Badge, Expert Spec Ops Combat Badge, Expert Support Combat Badge, Expert Engineer Combat Badge, Expert Medic Combat Badge)

RANK_20 - Lieutnant General
200,000 Global Score

RANK_21 - General
200,000 Global Score
Awarded monthly to the highest ranked player at the time

The requirements for Brig are 1400 hours in the vehicles. By the time you get the required hours, youll have way more than 200,000 points. Youll also have all of your Expert combat badges. There are guys with way less points who have all the Expert Combat badges. The Expert combat badges are way easier than the 1400 hours in vehicles. When I got my last Expert Combat badge, I think I had like 120,000.

With that said. The day comes that JoeSchmo gets 1400 hours in the vehicles....he gets promoted to Brig General, then since he has the requirements for Major General, after his next kill, he gets promoted again. Then since he has the requirements for Lieutnant general, after his next kill, he gets promoted again.

There doesnt seem any way to be a Brig General or Major General for more than 1 kill later. Does this make sense?

No it doesn't, and EA should consider changing the General requirements immediately.

Only way to get it would be to be really really crap at the game. ie spend hours upon hours in the vehicles without getting any points. That way you will have the expert badges before you reach 180,000. Absolutely daft. Just illustrates how little thought DICE are putting into the game nowdays.

who has time to play that much anyways? e.g.- Blazakin
I only have 17000 points and I don't care about ranks or ribbons.

Requiring people to get all the expert vehicle badges is an attempt to get people to need to do something other than just racking up points until the next rank. Such is the challenge people now face. They can no longer whore one vehicle the whole time and expect to get the highest rank.

It's a great system in my opinion, nothing should be changed.

Not the same one over and over again just so they get the next rank. People will have to learn how to do other things to EARN their next rank.

I don't think anyone disagrees that you need to be more broadly skilled to earn the higher ranks. It is just the order that EA decided to put the requirements in is a bit retarded.

Brig Gen - All expert badges, except vehicles, and all Combat Medals.
Major Gen - Expert Armor and Transport
Lieu Gen - Expert Aviator and Helicopter
General - To highest ranking General each month

Now doesn't that make more sense? Brig General is achievable and the higher ranking Generals still take more work. The way it is now people will skip right up to Lieu General because by the time you get Expert Vehicles you will have all other experts.

Here's the big money question:

HOW THE HELL IS EA FULL OF SUCH DUMBASSES, THAT THEY CAN LOOK AT FIRESTORM AND BLAZIN UK'S STATS; THE TOP TWO PLAYERS, AND THINK THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF NIMRODS OUT THERE READY TO GET BRIG. GENERAL IN 6 MONTHS TIME??

I mean seriously, what sensible person would see this possible, and how can an entire company look over this obvious fact??

Yeah, they need to swap the requirements for the brigadier general and the major general.

Brigadier general: all expert combat badges

Major general: all expert vehicle badges

Getting the expert vehicle badges is much more difficult IMO.
That's the point...

not all vehicle experts, i say three, but not all. Some people ie me cant fly jets, i suck. i can barely take off.
and that will hold me back.
