Are they worth the money?

Currently, I have a small Wacom Graphire, but I'd really like something where I could draw on the screen. (Cintiq is too expensive/clunky)
I've been doing some reading on them, and they seem to put the most emphasis on being a laptop, instead of a tablet.
Since I have a computer, I really couldn't care less about all the non-graphic related features Tablet PCs have. I only really want them for painting in Photoshop.

Suggestions/ideas?

From what I've heard, tablet PCs are more overpriced than the Cintiqs, and they often won't even support pressure sensitivity.

I say, go for the 12.1" Cintiq.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Well the 12' Cintiq costs more than the cheapest tablet PC I found, although it does look pretty handy..

..Hmm..

Isn't the 12.1" just around $1000? What the hell kinda tablet PC would you get for that sum, if "the screen itself" (Cintiq) can be sold for $1000?

Cintiq 21UX. Worth every penny! I tried one a few weeks ago. They works like a charm! You could always sell your organs to get the money.

Well I technically have enough money to buy the 12', but that involves emptying my savings account.
