Well, I'm working on it.

I bought a new gfx card, a new mobo and a new hd a month ago. I have now an epicly rig, but the processor sucks. I still have a pentium 4. lol

I also realized, that getting an Xbox would be more effecient, seeing as I wouldn't have to update it all the time. Problem: The games are more expensive.

I also heard Xbox live should be epic win, isdatrite? Any opinions?

Well, the money play looks like this: I get every month:

+40 dollars from my parents
+20 for webdesign jobs

-10 for magazines

ect.

So i herd processor aren't cheaper than a Xbox?

I proably would end having more fun buying a Xbox?

Depends.

Xbox Pros :

Xbox Live is win
Xbox Live only costs £40 a year.
Good community
Lots of big titles
Good controller
Lots of free online content.

Cons :

Xbox live costs
HD-DVD appears to have lost to BluRay

PC's are great, i used to use em for games all the time. But the Xbox is so much more casual, and that's what i am, a casual gamer. I never have to worry about "will my rig handle this" or anything, every game works, and every game looks great. Price per game isn't that expensive (£40), and Xbox live is amazing (works out as less than 80p a week, i spend roughly 12x that amount on cigs a week).

Depends what you want.

You'll also need to worry about how you're going to connect your Xbox upto the internet. Simplest solution would be doing it wireless but you have to buy a wireless adaptor for the X360 which costs a bomb. Basically, it would be cheaper to get the CPU. Although PC's are only good for FPS games unless you buy all the peripherals, whereas consoles can do everything but FPS games thanks to the controllers. I like my driving games, so console was the way forward for me instead of upgrading my crappy comp

It all ends up costing the same. Although the PS3 has a blu-ray player so doubles up as something for watching HD films on

Do what YOU want though, don't let us sway your descison, if you go for that new CPU, you will wish you got that 360 when a great game comes out, same in reverse though

And that Elite price just went down recently, it used to cost £300 and the Premium used to cost £250, which had a 20GB hard drive. So the Premium was actually a much worse deal than the 40GB PS3. It's only very recently when MS did the price cuts did things become reasonable and competitive when it comes to price

not trying to be a fanboy, but like heggs said, the 360 also has a huge failure rate and because of the DVD drive it's limited. I like the fact that I now can watch HD films using blu-ray
