I was thinking of getting some Zalman cooling for my GPU and CPU and I'm wondering if it's worth the cost / effort.
Namely I'm looking at these products:
CNPS9700 LED for a Q6600
and
VF1000 LED with ZM-RHS88 for an 8800GTX (evga)
This would set me back about 120€
I'm not planing to overclock heavily. GPU will stay at default clocks and the processor will be running at 3,0GHz.
Are these considerably quieter than the stock coolers? The noise when the fans are going full throttle gets a bit annoying at times...
Also, how difficult is it to instal a GPU heatsink? I've read that the Zalman products are really userfriendly, especially the ones I mentioned, but I've never done it my self.
Thanks.
