My website (opinions)

Well, it's not really a website... but a myspace. Lame, I know... but my "professors" recommend I establish a web presence, and they feel a myspace devoted to my artwork, not a personal one, would be best. They've even mentioned other professional Illustrators who use myspace over a traditional website. I still think it's tacky, but oh well, it will do for now. So, opinions on the aesthetics of it?

Also feel free to add it to your friends if you have a myspace.

This is basically a page aimed about being about my artwork, not a "personal" myspace, so if you add it, treat it that way. And let's not turn this into a debate about how an actual web page would be better than a myspace...

...And if you guys have any ideas for a url, let me know... I haven't picked one yet and would like something that is simple and easy to remember.

Wait, are the links supposed to go anywhere? Cos I get dorected straight to MySpace.com at each one.

But i it's just to show what your site would look like, I'd say it's pretty bad-ass

Although, the shadow on the tree guy's arm doesn't look right in it's position in relation to the wood, if you get what I mean...

But yeah, good site

Yea, as best I can tell (I've gone through all the "privacy options" to make the page as open as possible for all viewers) you need to be logged in to a myspace account to view pictures... pretty lame I think it's their own privacy standard, because I don't see an option to disable it, but I don't have any posted anyway

Yes, it is your "myspace home," What other home would it go to? It's just like the home button at the top of a regular myspace page.

alright, i've got it figured out now. You should change the "Home" name to something that says you are going to return back to "My Profile" or something cool

I like the idea, but that wouldn't work for people not logged in or who don't have a myspace, so maybe something that just says "myspace home" or "myspace.com."

I could just change the link/ remove it...

Sorry, I hate every last thing about MySpace. It's buggy, overrated, full of idiots and slow. The fact that you have to be logged in to see a gallery pretty much names their goal.

Fuck, what's the matter with people bragging about their "300 MySpace friends"? I mean, WHAT THE FUCK? What on earth are you gonna do with 300 friends, which also have 300 friends! You won't be talking to them more than once a year, if at all.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Any website that has "under construction" does not look professional. It also makes it look like it's in a time warp back to 1995. All it's missing is a yellow saw horse with the /!\ images.

It's there for an obvious reason, I haven't posted this anywhere else, I need opinions to get it out of "construction," so either post something useful or don't post.

I wouldn't have known it was myspace instantly, and it looks quite good (as I would expect).

As far as getting a presence goes, its a good start. I am sure you can/will move to a website eventually, and for the moment a myspace page is enough (not that I know anything at all really, lol).

Yea, I'll have a real website with in the next year or two as it is a requirement for one of my later classes, I just need something for now to use until then.

Also, if any one has any tips for the url... let me know. Maybe something that can carry over to the actual website when I make it?
