Although they do use special shotguns to "Disrupt" the bomb.  They're mounted to a stand and you pull the trigger from the truck.  They also have several other neat tools that are safer than shooting it.  Plus, bullets don't do anything to C4.

Omg, I had to get on my knees to "work on a bomb".  I'll tell you what, with 90 pound legs, you will never take your knees for granted again after getting up in that thing.

@Ted:  I think that's correct, but he made it sound like there's a couple ways to do it, which I'm sure he's right.

@Hurri:  Yeah, they had a robot too.  Really cool.  I got a video of it picking up a traffic cone, moving it across the parking lot, and putting it on top of another one.  Scary/awsm at the same time.  I can't upload the video though (against the law - can't reveal their secrets).

yeah you can pound it like play doo and shoot it and nothing ........... but get a chopper flying low and watch everyone freak out

you can burn C4 and such, it's actually detonated by a detonator charge that is set off by an electrical current
same thing with Dynamite, you can burn it and it is perfectly safe, you just need the detonating cap and that sets it off (a smaller boom is required to make the bigger one tbh)
