Okay so i've recently been lagging on tf2 even whilst on all low, checked rivatuner and it was averaging 110-115 degrees c, I took the case off (whilst turned off obv) and it burned to touch, ok, so I am in need of a decent aftermarket cooler for it. It's an evga 7900gt.

Thanks, on the way already is a new fan and pci slot extractor fan.

Try blowing the dust out first? I'm not too good with that stuff, but 115 sounds a bit too hot, even for a stock cooler.

Is a 7900GS better than a 7800GT?

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
