If you had the money and the resources ............ Would you seriously run for president ?

Could you come with the right people to help you on your campaign ?

Would you be able to handle debates on TV ?

Could you come up with the rights ideas to solve Americas problems ?

Could you stand to watch TV with citizens criticizing your every move, your every word ?

Could you stand to have your life be put underneath a microscope ?
Nope, in the real word I care too much what people think of me, and I would take every attack very personally. I would not like to be satirized on SNL every weekend. I am a very private person and I wanna keep it that way.

You told me you wanted to do that.

Anyway; honestly, I think I would. Not so much perhaps for the actual Presidency (okay...quite a bit for that) but I'd definetely kick myself knowing that I could of tried if I didn't.

No, every single problem in the world would land on my desk and the second i don't do something right the media will jump all over it and put up daily charts of my approval rating going down. I would receive no support from the media as its goal is to turn the people against the president by showing nothing but bad things ranging from flawed battle strategies to mispronouncing words.

What are you talking about John, 41, living in Georgia with 2 kids aged 10 and 11?

Would I like the job? Sure.

But...

I did too much stuff in my college days that would be "unflattering" if the media got wind of it. In fact, the entire group I ran around with in college--we all agreed that none of us could ever run for public office because of the dirt others would have on us.

No. The stress that the president has to put up with is too much. If you see a fresh new president and then see him at the end of his last term they usually look tired and there hair is all gray.

4) followed Christianity (because let's face it, an openly atheist person like myself wouldn't ever win) [raised Mormon, so I wouldn't stand a Romney chance in Hell even if inactive]
5) was good at public speaking [something I avoided in high school, so no]
