It’s been discussed before but this just came to me. This is not a Muslim bashing thread…quite the opposite

Ok, here is my analysis of Islamic Fundamentalism and why countries like USA, Australia, etc are a threat to it. This only one reason I am sure there are more...

Despite USA’s conservative leanings it is still a progressive nation. Religion & religious texts have been analysed, updated and revised. The old testament was written between the 12th and the 2nd century BC, and the new testament was written AD 45 and before AD 140. A lot of what was written in both parts of the bible has been “revised” or ignored for use of a better term ie

1. Lev 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations.
2. Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread

Etc etc.

Progression, questioning of authority, and updating of religion are the true enemy of Radical Islam. Are the heads of these Islamic Fundamentalism in it for the respect to their god or for the power?

People in power will do anything to hang onto that power.

Like, say, the Vatican? World Youth Day was used to promote religion to the younger generation, who lets face it have become less inclined to follow the teachings of the Church. Especially with access to the internet and other new age mediums for their own ideological expressions. What better way to shore up future support then attracting new followers at an early age?

Yes in a way. They are planing on publishing a revised book of Hadiths.
Hadiths are stories about the life of Mohamed. The thing about them is that that they are very contradictory to one another. One will say that Mohamed prohibits learning of science for example and reading of any books other than the Quran (even though that is contradictory to the Quran itself). But another Hadith will say the opposite - that a duty of a Muslim is to learn and better himself and his community.
Also Mohamed forbade writing of Hadiths because he didnt want to be glorified and turned in to a God by the people. So all the Hadiths were written after he died, some even hundreds of years later which diminishes their authenticity.
Turkey is trying to filter and downplay their importance, because Hadiths have the biggest potential for abuse and most of them were written for self gain.
