Ok i know that a purple heart is a easy thing to get but why is it that you can only obtain one? Just out of curriosity
because u gotta suck or do it on purpose lol why would you want more than one? 5 kills 20 deaths? i wouldent want too many of them..
infact i tried to get one for about 2 hours and couldent... 17 deaths was the highest i could get... it was startin to make my stats look bad so i stoped lol

I got mine easely.
Just find a server with a 30 minutes + timer.
You'll have enough time to get your 5 kills and then die over and over.
Geting killed by the enemy, jumping off cliffs, crashing in things while in a vehicule all work.
The Suicide button won't count.
Also don't get 6 kills. It'll screw up your chances (had to retry it a 2nd time cause I got 6 kills)

I got mine at my 1st try....its the easiest medal i got.....juz spread out ur kills in between ur 20 deaths to keep ur death streak low....its fun....kept saying..."Please kill me! I want da medal!" lol

Of course I did not punish the Commander.
He still went and started calling me an idiot.
Told him I was going for the medal and needed 20 deaths and that I did not punish it.
He said that was fine and all but that didn't mean I had to run trough his artilery. Hmm you don't get punish from it by so freaking what? lol
lol cause he still looses points for killing you thats why... punishing them just means they will get kicked he looses points even if u dont punish

And again don't get 6 kills or your screwed. It's easier to get it on a server with a timer since you have no idea how long a round will last on a timer less server (most timer servers have a higher flag count as well)

purple hearts are cute looking, i actually have 1 from my uncle in WW2.
as germans didn't hand out purple hearts in WWII, I'll have to get one in BF2...
We don't do either now..... But in BF2 it does not look right I was like isn't ther Mr. 1$ on their and I was right there is no star on there
you need 7 kills, and 20 dealths to get a purple heart.. and this is a hint: to get yo 20 deaths u can just kill yourself with nades or claymores like i did

I am in shock that so many people are willing to get that medal! Wow, that is one I will never attempt to get. Why would anyone ever want to earn that medal, I just dont understand it. Killing yourself also gives you negative points if you weren't aware. I would also get EXTREMELY furious at someone who kept running into my arty. I am not fond of getting negative points for someone else's ignorance. Heck, I get pretty steamed up when someone jumps in front of my vehicle and gives me teamdamage point...and yes, I do enjoy the game very much, but sometimes, it can be a real pain to play with so many players on my team that are out to ruin my day.
I'm confused by what about the purple heart makes you people want to get it. I mean its the medal they give to the n00bs to make them feel better. I am proud to say i have none, and hope to never get one.
I guess its just to have it.

First time I got one I thought, 'Wow! A purple heart! I must have just died and done something real cool and heroic like taking loads of enemy with me! Yeeeeeeeeeees!'.
Soon as I found out it meant that I'd been bent over the knee of the other team and spanked 'till I cried for my Mommy, I wasn't so chuffed.

I didn´t really ever tried to get a Purple Heart and I don´t even want one but whenever I have a bad day I either get 5 kills but only around 17 deaths or I get more than 20 deaths but don´t even manage to get the necessary kills.
I have a.. what's the word, ultimate fear of a purple heart? Yes heh I know its heroic, and I know really good medics that have more than one (grin) purple heart. But whenever I'm stuck on 5 kills, and have 10+ deaths, a HUGE banner that says 'Beware, Purple Heart ahead' just lights up in my head and I tell my commander I'm changing kit to sniper to provide support.

1:4 K/D ratio. That means 4 times as many deaths as you have kills. So...
5 kills = 20 deaths
6 kills = 24 deaths
7 kills = 28 deaths
etc. etc. etc.
What I did was get the 5 kills first, then just ran out in front of the enemy and get shot. The 20 kill streak will help you obtain the Legion of Merit Ribbon (although you only need an 8 streak)
