I'll use this thread for posting pics, project log, results and stuff. Anyone else having crossfire/tri-fire/quadfire questions or rigs feel free to join here.

And if someone wants me to do any particular benchmark, I'll do my best gettting results here. Latest Catalyst hotfix fixes the 'stuttering' problem of radeon HD2900/3800 series so that won't affect benchies anymore.

Current status of this little 'build' is this: *note: pics taken with my friend's phone cam so image quakity is what it is*

results atm:

E6750 at 3.5ghz and Club3D HD3870 X2 at stock. results vary from 15k to 16k. (20k fight is on Poseidon! )

built process:
Q6600 G0 arriving today or Wednesday. Shipping E6750 away tomorrow. Selling X800XT PE for HD3870.

made open rig today since I need to change the CPU tomorrow and that zalman cooler is almost impossible to remount when the mobo is inside the case. Rig is now sitting comfortably over my Asus mobo box pile.

Theres an x2 block somewhere for around 100€. (expensive but rather 1 water block for 100€ than 2 water blocks for single gpu cards for 80€ x 2)

Hmmmm... yeah. That is interesting... Looks like tri-fire is ftw gotta do much more oc with the new quad. I'm too drunk to do taht tho (finished finals and drinking... drinking more tomorrow...)

Ok thanks for explanation, then it should be enough. Anyone have an idea how this card compares to x2 in 3d mark scores? What i also like bout this card is that it "only" requires 2x4pin power connectors instead of 6+4.
