Probably. Without the goals to work to, however, it will lose playability. Of course, BF2 is still one of a kind, and the only FPS that smoothly incorporates other dimensions of the field. And since I've been playing more PR than vanilla (both are great, so I switch to my fancy ), stats doesn't matter.
Of course, many people would probably leave BF2 if stats were removed. So I'd have to wait for BF3, which will be . EA's finally listening to fans, Red Alert 3 is proof.

meh, i would play with my clan...
I would fun around like suicide, c4 newbing, teamkilling but tbh if stats will be down i would stop slowly
Stats are give you a goal in the game wahts a good thing if you ask meh.

well ive never been a general so i would like to work towards that
i guess you could say i like the stats, the only reason why people hate stats is because all the hacking Fags ruin it for everyone also the statpadders,

last time i checked, i stopped playing BF2 when stats exist.
I might play a bit. Don't play that much anymore (I like 2142 better). I think they should wipe everyones stats lol then I'd play lots.

stats make this game, without them it would suck... so no I would not play

I don't think so. The provision of goals is what keeps me going, I suppose when I run out of things to do i'll either get bored, or try and get really really good.
