Dear God, scary picture. I must not have been paying attention for the past six years or so because his face has aged considerably from what I recall him looking like.
After Bush leaves office, he should play a big role on the Office. That picture is priceless.
I come all the way here to get away from this guy, and he invites himself over for dinner. Jack ass.
Less than 300 days... not fast enough.
I'll be very happy when he goes back to ruining oil companies and leaves the important shit to those who have a fucking clue... or at least a shred of humanity and honour.

I love the 'unpopular at home' bits that fail to bring up congress's own approval ratings...

The article is about the president. What does Congress have to do with this article? Does pointing out that Bush sucks mean instant bias?
Looking at the op article, it's amazing... but I still can't get it into my head that this man was President of the United States of America for eight years...

Our enemies have a different take on 01-01-09. To them it could be
Opening Day !
They can only pray.. seems like they have a lot of company here.

Horemen77 is a wise man, you should not demean him that way.
I'm just saying. It gets old.ATG wrote:

The whole "our enemies can't wait until someone else who I disagree with takes office" thing.
To me, its below the belt to somehow suggest, as horseman did, that I'm an enemy of my country.
Bush wasn't one of the greatest Presidents, but much better then some of our worst, his spending habits were and still are horrible, no excuse for that. Must say though, being the leader of the most powerful nation in the world does take its toll, you sacrifice your life and your dignity when you take that oath, gotta give the man at least some respect, its not a easy job he has, just look at how he has aged since he got into office. It sucks the life out of you.
I dont think its our choices that we make, its what we have to choose from, the people in government who really do give a shit tend to stay down below, when you refuse to kiss ass your not gonna make it up the ladder.Turquoise wrote:

Laying on the sarcasm pretty thick, eh? He's on probation from the sanitarium now.ATG wrote:

Actually, you assumed I meant it in a way that I actually didn't think of. I was actually implying what you just said. lolCommie Killer wrote:

Whatever the case, I would agree with you, but now that you bring up that other thing, I'd have to agree with that too....
Not a moment too soon. That man has done a lot of immoral, uncalled for, stupid and deceitful things and I, and most of the rest of the non-American world (including most of the American world too I gather), can't wait to see the back of him.ATG wrote:

I was thinking about that the other day... The only possible worse president I could think of was Nixon, but I couldn't bring myself to say that one was notably worse than the other...Turquoise wrote:

Oug, our worst presidents were in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Gilded Age and the buildup to the Great Depression were really our darkest days due to corporate corruption and vast amounts of poverty.
Some good examples of truly horrid presidents were Andrew Johnson, Ulysses Grant, Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, and Herbert Hoover.
I would also include Lincoln, but yes... everytime I say that, a flame war begins.
