Hi,

When playing i get strange lines move diagonally up the screen either from the floor or from tanks etc.
This has all been since the patch. I have tried updating the graphics drivers but am still getting the problem.
Has anyone else had this and if so did you manage to fix it??

Help me please.

Figured I would just throw this out there.

Is the card overclocked?  I know overclocking can cause artifacts severe enough to produce the simptoms you've explained.  I once had an ATI 300 that came in a Dell.  I used the ATI tool to overclock and got a little too extreme.  End result was exactly what you described.  I set it back to more normal values and problem solved.  Can't make a Pinto drive like a Porche I guess.

Nah its not overclocked. I have tried overclocking it but that is a whole different set of symptoms. Goes a bit squarey when over clocked but has strange lines when this problems attacks.
I might try installing bf2, bf2:sf and the patch again to see if it clears it up.
Does anyone know what the best settings you can run bf2 at with an MSI 6800 Ultra?

does that card run @ 500/1000 gpu/mem with GDDR3 mem???  If so you should be able to run everything on high execpt shadows and lighting,  medium.   1024x768x32@(60-85) this number is the refresh rate,  if your monitor doesnt support a high refresh rate then leave it on 60.

If you notice it running like shit then you can do 2 things,  turn down drawling distance to 90% with a mix of mediums and highs or  100% with low settings...etc

What have you gotta have to be able to max out all the settings?
Do you thin i should be able to go trilinnier?

yes i have the same problem on a 6800 gt i havent fixed it but u never know it might sort itself out in the new hotfix. ps no i havent o/ced my gfx card and it used to work good B4 the patch

a 7800gtx would let u max out all the settings
