Oh, I don't know. I imagine it wouldn't be a bad platform for rendering.

Why do you think that?

There are many other dual socket boards that are a fraction of the price, work much faster, don't use silly FB RAM etc.

The only thing it has going for it is being multi socketed and having the option for multiple GPUs, which since non real time rendering tends to be done entirely CPU side, means it is pretty pointless and redundant as a rendering platform.
