My amplifier has stopped working (BB blaster 10 watt FTL) .grrrrr.  last night i unplugged my guitar so i could tune it, when i plugged it back in. the amp just wont work. i plugged the cord in the right socket, but theres no distortion (well there is if i jack the sound up, but it sounds like static).

whaddo i do. my mum aint lettin me get a new one (coz i have no money) and i dont think guitarbitz.com, will get it repaired for me.

the thing only lasted just over 1 month.

First of all NOFX ftw!

Second, is there a breaker switch on it where the power plugs in? Probably a stupid question, but...

You haven't fiddled with the balance or anything? I discovered the reason little to no sound was coming out of my Peavey was because I had fiddled with the settings (in an attempt to get some cool sounds...that failed, by the way). I did a bit of trial and error and got it back to normal then.

i tried it just a few minutes ago and it's a little better but theres still something wrong, it sounds like the gain has been wacked up to full, but it hasn't. a lot of static and nothing more.

Kinda sounds like a bad cord if your not getting much volume. Try using a different cable and see if it still does it.

I'd say it's the lead.

I have that exact same amp (it sucks, eh?) and the amount of leads I've been through (2), it's uncountable.

I bought a proper decent lead in the end, it's all good so far.

By the way, I get a new amp today

problem seems to have rectified itself now.

Try a new lead. I thought I broke my Marshall last night but I forgot I had headphones plugged into it

I had that problem with my amp. I didn't really bother looking into it, what I did to was turn all the knobs up to full and play. For some reason this acted like a defribulator and shocked the amplifyer back to life. Of course the noise it made was horrific but after that initial shock I turned the knobs all back to how I wanted and it worked fine.
