Bailing out the big banks and families will definitely bring us into the Great Depression, but try explaining that to Bush or the Fed Reserve....

Home sale were up last month.. did you hear? Nope.

What the major media outlets reported was the decline in new construction @ 1.8%, neglecting to mention resales were up 2.8%.

Well, hopefully more money for banks means lower interest rate for me.

I just dropped my interest rate .75 of a percent, and it took 4 years off my loan

all it cost me was $250

I hope it drops again!

I did hear, but I wonder how many sheaple did?

Also, the scuttlebutt in the OC is that buyers and sellers are at a stalemate; the only entities dumping houses cheap and further driving down the home values are...you guessed it...the banks with their repos.

They created the problem, and they are making it worse.
But, people who bought 3-4 years ago? They are not giving on the selling price, and that is good news. Damn good news for nail biting homeowners like me. The market may have bottomed.

Hear about that in the news?

Stop tuning into infotainment and read real news.

Disclaimer: You will have to comprehend and analyze the news you read.  I don't put the burden on the news service to tell me how it is.  I would rather rely on my own observations and a conglemeration of sources to come to a conclusion.

I live that news. It's not necessarily the banks, It's the builders. Builders have been stuck paying mortgages on vacant land. The builders are buying down rates to get people financed as well as dumping property at relatively low prices. The good news is that it is a great move up market. Interest rates are extremely low also. The problem is people have been stuck in their current homes. So a jump in resales is great news.

What bothers me about all this is that Ron Paul fans might be right about the Fed Reserve.  Look at how they're scrambling to come up with new ways to subsidize financial losses.  This just slowly raises inflation in the long run.  Our currency isn't going to be worth much if we can't just stomach some losses today rather than postponing them...

And being overly optimistic can overlook our problems. It goes both ways, but some people seem to think only negativity hurts.

Hyperinflation will come quick, and with very little warning. I'm pretty dead set that it will happen within a few years, IF the Fed and my homeboy Ben can bail out the financial sector. Either way it won't be pretty and then the media will have something to chew on.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing how similar the situation we are in is like the recession/depression that Japan suffered not too long ago.

Definitely isn't in the same boat as Obama.
