Well I've been out of school for 5 years and working part time jobs just to get a pay check. Some guy called from Itt and asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment. I told him I'll think about it and call him in 2 weeks. Probably a bad move on my part but oh well. I want to do something in computers and he said they have cisco training there. I'm just wondering if I go that route would I be able to find a job right after I completed the school. I know cisco is with networking and stuff but I don't want to be the guy answering a 70 year old lady's phone call and telling her how to fix her internet. Should I take the appointment and do this ? I have the parents that will help me pay for the schooling. Then again I realised this is a perfect opportunity to get my ass up and into real money instead of play money. Right now I'm about 60/40 if I want to do this. What do you all think ?

Plus, you'll be building a resume, building experience, and ultimately making yourself more marketable in the future. This is a step in the right direction, and will help open other doors even if you really don't want to do this specifically in the future (managerial, other facets of the industry, etc).

A basic rule of thumb: the more education you have, the more options you have.

Personally, I wouldn't go ITT.  If you have the patience (and more importantly $$$ to pay for it), why not attend junior college with the goal of getting a 4-year degree?

Well I'm 25 with some college so I kinda want this to get over with real fast and not work at a part time job when I'm 30 I've waited long enough. A 2 year deg. will be fine by me if I do this.

Education is always a good thing, but a four year degree would be more helpful, more $$$ and less competition later.

Do it. better to have one stable job with good $$$ instead of dicking around with part time.

Do it. The opportunity has presented itself, you'll kick yourself later if you let it pass by.
