Ok, here is a query for ya: From a discussion I had today.
Given all of the deaths in the world caused by AIDS, would you condone quarantine without exception for all people diagnosed with this disease in order to prevent the deaths that have occured or now future deaths? Basically, I am talking about permanent banishment from society until a CURE is found.
A coupla guidelines:
1. There are no exceptions, how the disease was contracted is irrelevant for this discussion.
2. Each colony can be supplied with all of the modern comforts but they are completely isolated short of communication with the outside world. I am not talking about punishment but banishment from each country's mainstream society. (If you can look at banishment as not punishment).
3. To keep it simple for now, the details about how to govern such colonies and taking care of the inhabitants are off limits. For this discussion, it is understood that that the infected people are NOT simply disposed of and forgotten. Just isolated.
