Here's a video of the story: http://www.snotr.com/video/1033

YouTube link to the kid's channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/KINGSIKE11

Guy's blog site: http://blog.mcfearsome.com/2008/03/22/wow-your-a-moron/ (with links to updates)

...my house was broken into around 2:30-3:00pm and they made off with my xbox 360, an old powerbook (which they grabbed the wrong charger for) and ripped my TV right off the wall.
...
I eventually hook up the new xbox (to my 20" replacement TV) @ 4am and as soon as I recover my xbox live account I receive a voice message from someone I don't know.
...
So this guy decided to leave me a voice message explicitly stating that he stole my Halo edition xbox 360 and that I could buy it back from him.
...
[laptop gets returned, later on the original XBox gets returned]

So 2 out of 3 aint bad everyone, bravo! The cops have a lead on the actual robber and seem to be doing their job. I never expected to get anything back, so this awesome. I would like to thank everyone at work who pitched in to get me the new XBOX(spare?) which lead to all this and then everyone who dugg the story and effectively forced the issue onto the people with the stolen goods.
Also, sorry if this has been posted before, but Search is down! (And I did look through previous posts I'll have you know)

Some guy stole a Skyline from a dealership, so the owner posted it on www.beyond.ca and then within hours they knew his name, address, work place, girlfriends name, whatever else. Some guy went and boxed the car in so he couldn't move it and the police were called. It was classic internet ownage, it's world famous now; made the news, and the paper.
