Don't know what the law in Austria is, but in Australia breathalysers are not considered accurate. As such if you are found to be over the limit, you have 2 choices.
1) Take the ticket, punishment and be on your way.
2) Insist on an accurate blood test in which case they need to take you to the police station, get a blood sample and analyse it, which could take hours, but may also save you from a loss of licence.
This really isn't going to help you now, but maybe for future reference.

If I had it my way, I'd require DUI charges be escalated to "ATTEMPTED VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER." Die in fire you worthless, selfish, incompetent piece of shit!
Yes, I do feel that way about drunk drivers. Drunk drivers = child abusers.
Did you just read the title and get all excited and scroll down to the message field shaking with excitement that you can finally vent some anger?
He woke up the day after. I'll repeat that. The day after drinking. He was stopped for whatever reason and was 8 1000's over the limit...
No, read it. Still drove drunk (drunk driving = impaired...still able to kill people through gross negligence). Try losing someone to a drunk driver who "made a mistake" and see how it feels..see if you take any and every opportunity to "vent some anger."
The level you are impaired differs from person to person, now consider the differing 'laws' in each country on what is an acceptable BAC and he might have been a child abuser in one country but not in another. Laws are a human made system and are therefore susceptible to mistakes, persecuting someone on the basis that the laws they infringed are infallible is as ignorant as religion.
To jord, .008 is actually a substantial amount. In Aus, the limit is .05, so .058 is 16% over the limit (a lot more then it sounds).

1 solution. DONT TAKE THE BREATHALYZER.
You could, but they would arrest and hold you, get a warrant to take a blood sample and then you would be charged with both the DUI and some kind of resisting arrest (or something I don't know what it would be called).
