ok so BF2 started acting weird after getting quad core...

Everything else works fine but when I try to load a map I get 3 memory errors at 15% loading...

This started after getting quad. (worked just fine with my Vista x64 before! Also BF2142 works just fine!)

I tried running bf2 on 1 and 2 cores but no change. I also googled this for two hours and so far I haven't found a fix that works...

any ideas?

try reinstalling bf2 and patch it and make sure you pb is updated

did it all. pb is manually updated.

Try deleting your Battlefield 2 folder in your "My Documents" folder - be sure to save any controls / screenshots you may have.

Run a memtest86 for an hour just to be sure it's not your RAM...

I also had similar issues, and I fixed them by overclocking my RAM

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

lol it is not becasue of my ram. I ran 12h memtest a day ago...

and I fixed this... took only 3 reinstalls
