The Founding Fathers also promoted the separation of church and state, and as SenorToenails once pointed out, this principle has been supported through case law.
In effect, the origins of our laws might have been Christian, but the system is currently secular and should remain that way.
This is why I'm not a member of the Constitution Party. They apparently don't understand the meaning of the document they worship.
