Shader Clock

Should I unlock my Shader clock and try upping that? I'm pretty much at the max OC level right now. Fan @ 80%. 750/1611/1100 (core/shader/mem).

Using RivaTuner.

Well, IIRC shader clock can be overclocked at a slightly higher percentage than the core clock.

How about overclocking marginally and see if you freeze/crash/BSOD ?

yeah, i'll eventually do that if no one responds, but if it doesn't make much of a difference then i'm not going to do it.

I just keep mine linked, and max the core out. My thought is they are linked for a reason.

well, yeah. i did a test with them linked, then increased shader clock only from 1611 to 1625 MHz. 3DMark06 score decreased by 8. not much of a loss, but definitely not a gain either. on the bright side, temps didnt go high at all so i actually might start overclocking the core and mem moar (went up to 66 max).

although: i remember i could go higher, but it would crash CoD 4. we'll see.
