I noticed a lump on the back of my head on monday which had NOT been there before. I had mentioned this to haffeysucks, as he said he had a lump too on his chest. I went to the doctor yesterday, and he mentioned that it's possible I may have leukemia.

I'm currently awaiting the test results, but if they do come back positive I'm going to obviously be going on a leave. My dad said he'd have me in Sloan-Kettering (Cancer center) in NYC within the day, so I'll obviously not be back here for quite a while, if not longer.

Just letting some of you I know especially people like Hurricane and Cowami so you don't wonder where I left off to.

I'm trying to remain optimistic, but it's just not helping.

God, the shit's really hit the fan at this point in my life.

Wow I didn't know cysts could show up out of nowhere that quickly. Was it definitely a cyst, or was the doctor unsure?

At this point I don't even know.

My family also has a history of cancer. My uncle had colon cancer, my dad and grandpa on my mom's side had skin cancer, my grandma on my dad's side just got a tumor on her spine removed (and my lump is...take a guess, on my spine.) among others. I also had a testicular cancer scare when I was 13.

dude, even if it is leukemia, it sounds like you caught it early. be smart, be vigiliant and listen to whatever the docs tell you and you'll do OK. they're working wonders with leukemia nowadays.

I doubt it is. My dad's in the medical business and he mentioned that if it were cancerous, it'd be hard and wouldn't be painful.

...and it's not.

I'm just atleast happy I know that he has connections in the medical world to get me the best doctors in the US.
