Fuck 'em... I didn't make them have kids. They made that choice. Now, they need to start making some more choices for themselves by actually being responsible in what they let their kids be exposed to.

Broadcasters should have the final say as to what they can show. The FCC has overstepped its bounds thoroughly at this point, and personally, I would disband them or neuter them to prevent future abuses.

I was referring to them in general, yeah. They've gone so far as to require children's shows to include some educational element or something. Bullshit, screw them. I wouldn't let TV get as crazy as the internet, but I'd make it so that people can have cable porn if they want to. Parents can fucking change the channel or use parental controls. My parents didn't exactly do a whole lot to censor what I see on tv and the internet, and I'm fine, despite being addicted to mastubating. That was a joke...I think.

Allow me to explain. The flag symbolizes everything the nation stands for, most revered is usually considered our freedoms. Higher of these freedoms is freedom of speech which has been interpreted to be expression. Burning the flag is an expression of dissatisfaction with our nation, our government, our wars, etc. So, do we protect an expression which renounces the symbol that stands for your very ability to carry out that expression? Answer - absolutely.

My point isn't to talk about flag burning so much as draw a parallel to say I understand how they'd yank her from the air. I disagree here as I do with banning flag burning. It is completely hypocritical and only serves to undermine everything you stand for in the mind of even a minutely analytical mind. Thankfully, most minds in our nation (indeed the world) completely fail at approaching even the remotest fringes of the depth and perception required to see or appreciate the hypocrisy.

Read 'Liberal Fascism' by Jonah Goldberg. paints an interesting pattern of similarities between todays liberals and fascist techniques of silencing the enemy, eliminating dissent, discrediting and character assassinating people who disagree, etc. 60s libs were the party of debate. that has gone away. debating with a hardcore lib usually gets them all lathered up spewing forth their talking points rather than talking through the issues with an open mind and possibly - just possibly understanding where the other side is coming from.
