Well.
I can only speak for my industry. My God. What a difference. Save your karma, this isn't meant to solicite sympathy.
Two years ago I was almost guaranteed 2k per day in sales, now we go entire days without calls. I used to average about 20k in the bank, and at the moment I have about a thousand dollars, and my mortgage was due Tuesday.
I have fared far better than some of my competitors who have either gone out of business, or are hanging on by a thread with 1-2 days of work per week, but the situation has me reeling. There seems to be no good answers as to what to do about it. We hunker down. We go off the radar as far as payroll taxes. We become deadbeats on some ( most ) of our bills.
This is the most miserable business climate in my lifetime. And all the while, gas goes up every day. Milk prices have almost doubled and empty headed state senators from California are trying to ramrod a one dollar per gallon tax increase on gas.
It seems like they will not be content until they have broken our backs.
I don't understand how things have turned so hard so fast.
What in the hell now?
